Oh, hey.
Good morning, Camp TVers.
Just putting the final touches on today's schedule full of fun activities.
It's a biggie.
I thought we'd start with arts and crafts.
Uh... What?
[ Sighs ] I knew it.
I got us into a hairy situation, didn't I?
Cooking should really go first.
Right?
Let me take a closer look.

Okay.
Much better.
Cooking first, then arts and crafts.
Yes?
But I've got to say, Science Wow!

Does the order really matter?
The most important part of the day is already here.

Oh, and I "mustache" you a question.

If you love spy stories as much as I do, than you know that every great spy has a cool spy gadget, which is an object or a tool that has awesome features to help them accomplish sneaky missions.
♪♪ Whew!

♪♪ I have a few questions to help us with the design.
First, what does it look like?
I thought it was so sneaky how your old gadget, the pen, looked like a totally normal object.
That way, no one will know that it's for spying.
So, Justin, what normal object do you want this new gadget to look like?
You know what?
I would love a new pair of glasses with sleek black frames.
I know this is for work, but I should look cool doing this.
Now, what special spy features does it have?
We need to think about all the cool things that it could do.
We could have different features to help us do different things, like information gathering to help us scan or take pictures of documents, sneaky entry to gain access to buildings and rooms.
We could have defense features that will help protect us from harm.
Or something else completely weird.
We'll start with the lenses.
Yes, the lenses are a high-tech camera able to take closeup pictures from miles away.
Also, it should have a bendable steel frame so that the glasses can transform into any key or any tool.
Whoa!
It is the perfect gadget!
Now it's your turn, spies in training.
Design a spy gadget.
You can draw it.
Or if you have any craft materials, you can even build it.
Remember to think about the cool features that it has and what those features can do.
We'll see you next time.

Zach: A little birdie told me it's time to go wild.
Olivia: I've heard of a place where magnificent marine giants swim freely in crystal-clear water, a pristine ecosystem nicknamed an aquatic playground.
And today we're on a journey to find that place and get up close and personal with the majestic manatees that call Crystal River home.
As we cruise through the river, my excitement builds.
The environment that surrounds us truly lives up to its name, and it's not hard to see why the manatees chose the picturesque warm waters of Crystal River to escape the winter cold.
The water in this area sits at a comfortable 72 degrees Fahrenheit, which I'm about to experience firsthand.
And it's time for me to take our exploring to the next level and enter the home of these gorgeous creatures.
It doesn't take long to find ourselves in the presence of these gentle giants.
Their calm demeanor is infectious, and you can't help but feel relaxed as you swim alongside them.
Each location we visit, we're greeted by new characters with their own unique personalities.
In the Three Sisters Springs, I was lucky enough to spend some time alongside this little manatee as he attempted to satisfy an itch.
♪♪ Swimming alongside these incredible marine mammals allows me to observe their movements and truly appreciate their unique body structure and adaptations.
They are well designed for the aquatic lifestyle.
Their huge paddle tail allows them to cruise through the water with effortless grace.
And because manatees are mammals like you and I, they have to come up for breath every three to five minutes.
They can actually open and close their nostrils to allow the oxygen in and keep the water out.
So they only have to lift their heads up just enough to open their nostrils on the surface of the water.
And their upper lip is prehensile, meaning that it's capable of grasping, which allows the manatees to easily mow through vegetation on the river floor.
While some of these gentle aquatic mammals are quite friendly, curious, and playful, it's important to remember that we are a guest in their home and must treat the manatees and their environment with the utmost respect.
I think it's safe to say that our expedition to this aquatic playground was a success, and it was truly an honor to swim alongside such a beautiful, majestic creature.
Zach: Curiosity and wonder.

You know how sound is a vibration and vibrations travel through gases, liquids, and solids?
Well, I'm wondering, how does sound behave at different pitches?
"What is a pitch?"
you might be thinking.
Well, a pitch is a word we use to describe [High-pitched voice] high or [Low-pitched voice] low sounds.
[ Normal voice ] The number of vibrations, or frequencies, make a high or low sound.
We're gonna take a look at vibration.
Sound is everywhere around us, and vibrations are all around us in different pitches.
Let's look at pitch with an instrument, like the trumpet.
My friend Caroline will be playing the trumpet.
[ Trumpet plays ] ♪♪ So sounds can produce fast or slow vibrations.
Let's use another instrument.

And I want you to hum a high pitch and feel how your throat moves as the vibrations travel up and out into the air.
Ready?
[ Hums high note ] Did you feel that?
Pretty cool.
Let's try a low hum.
[ Hums low note ] Your throat, or specifically your larynx and vocal cords, help make the sounds.
Let's try building a model of our vocal cords.
For this activity, you will need the following -- a rubber band, a plastic cup, and a straw.
Take the rubber band and place it around the cup so that it is over the bottom of the cup, as well as the opening of the cup.

Let's Get Cooking.
Hi.
Welcome to Cooking with Courtney.
I'm Courtney.
And today we're going to be making microwave scrambled eggs.
It's a delicious breakfast that's really easy to make and super-fun.
Let's get cooking.
Be sure to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water before and after handling food.
So what do we need to make our eggs?
Well, for starters, you're going to need a microwave-safe mug.
And then you're going to need two eggs, a dash of salt and pepper, a teaspoon of milk, a teaspoon of vegetable oil, and as much cheese as you want to taste.
I am obsessed with cheese, So I always put so much in.
And it is delicious.
To make sure that our eggs don't stick to our mug, we're going to grease the mug with a teaspoon of olive oil and a paper towel.
Pour your oil onto the paper towel.
Then take the paper towel and thoroughly coat the inside of the mug.
Carefully crack your egg and then add it into the mug.
There's one.
And two.
Next, add 1 teaspoon of milk.
Add a dash of salt.
And a dash of pepper.
And what's really cool about this is that you can customize your scrambled eggs however you'd like.
You can add onions or red peppers or broccoli or anything, really.
Whatever you want to make your perfect scrambled eggs.
I think we all know what's next.
It's time to stir.
Once your eggs are all mixed together, microwave them on high for 45 seconds.
Your eggs aren't fully cooked yet, but now it's time to add the cheese and give it a stir.
Then we're going to microwave it for another 45 seconds.
It's done.
Do you want to see?
Delicious.
Let's give it a quick stir so we can scramble these eggs a bit more.
And then it's time to dig in.

Zach: A little birdie told me it's time to go wild.
My name's Jo, and I'm an animal interpreter here at Memphis Zoo in Memphis, Tennessee.
Now, today, I'm gonna be talking about an animal that's covered in scales.
It has no legs or arms and a super-cool tongue.
Can you guess what it is?
That's right.
It's a snake.
And this is Val.
She's a Mexican burrowing snake.
They can be found throughout Mexico and Central America, ranging from dry, rocky sand, all the way to a damp tropical forest floor.
The reason they're called burrowing snakes is because they love to dig, and they're really great at it.
Unlike most other snakes, they have a flatter, more shovel-shaped head that works perfect for digging underneath the dirt.
They spend most of their time underground, so you don't see them very often in the wild, but they do come out to the surface to hunt.
All snakes are carnivores and eat their prey whole.
Unlike us, they don't have to chew.
They just take one big bite and then use their muscles to swallow the food whole.
Their diet is typically made up of small rodents, lizards, and sometimes even eggs.
This is actually one reason why they're so helpful to us.
And that's not just burrowing snakes like Val.
That's all snakes in the world.
Since they eat rodents and lizards, they act as a natural pest control to us humans.
The best thing we can do to help our scaly neighbors is something as simple as just leaving them alone.
It's pretty common to run into a wild snake.
But my best advice is to stop, make sure you don't scare them, watch, admire their natural beauty, then walk away, knowing that you're keeping an important part of our ecosystem safe.
Zach: Curiosity and wonder.
